On Friday, September 22, we’ll celebrate the Autumn Equinox – the First Day of Fall – with a special seasonal meal and photography show at the N.C. Cooperative Extension, Richmond County Center!

What: Autumn Equinox Dinner and Photography Show

Where: Ag Services Center, 123 Caroline Street, Rockingham

When: Friday, September 22, 2023, 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.

Register for the event by Friday, September 15, with payment due by Monday, September 18, by 5 p.m. to reserve your place. Cash or check. Cost: Dinner is $30/person, or $20.00/person with the submission of a photo for the show (limit 2 photos per person, please). Space for the event is limited, so don’t wait to register! The meal will feature grilled chicken, Boston butt, locally grown vegetable sides, and homemade desserts.

Email photos to richmondces@ncsu.edu, or drop them by the Extension office at 123 Caroline Street. If you can’t attend the event, but want to submit a photo, please do so! Some photos may be chosen for permanent display in the Extension offices!

We’re so pleased to feature as guest speaker, Mr. Gene McLaurin. Mr. McLaurin is the former Mayor of Rockingham and former N.C. Senator. He is currently serving as the Chairman of the Economic Development Partnership of NC. He will be sharing his thoughts on his work supporting rural economies in North Carolina.
